Over 5,000 advance tickets sold for Euro qualifiers

The Scottish Football Association have announced that over 5,000 tickets have already been sold for the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

Members of the Scotland Supporters Club have been snapping up the exclusive four-match packages since they went on sale two weeks ago.

The mini season ticket gives supporters the same seat guaranteed for the four home qualifiers in the group - where Scotland will face Spain, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Liechtenstein for a place at Euro 2012.

New manager Craig Levein is delighted that the fans have shown their support so early into his tenure.

"The qualifiers are just round the corner now and it's great to see so many Scotland fans getting behind the team as we prepare to get the campaign underway," he said.

"We know that we can expect fantastic backing from the Scotland supporters, and I'm looking forward to walking out to a packed Hampden Park for the visits of Liechtenstein, Spain, Czech Republic and Lithuania."

The Scotland Supporters Club recently welcome in thousands of new members, growing the membership to 35,000.

Scottish FA marketing manager Colin Banks said: "The multi-match package proved very popular when it was introduced for the last campaign.

"We've listened to our supporters, and we're delighted to be able to thank Scotland Supporters Club members for their support by offering the chance to buy a package of tickets for the four home qualifiers in advance, and at a discounted price."

The multi-match offer is open to Scotland Supporters Club members until 6 July 2010. Supporters Club members can apply for multi-match tickets through www.scottishfa.co.uk.
