Glasgow City sign Sarah Crilly
Scottish Champions Glasgow City are delighted to announce their first new signing of the close season after capturing striker Sarah Crilly from Hamilton.

The forward, who just recently turned 21, is in her 3rd year at the Scottish FA elite National Football Academy at Stirling University, which provides our best young Scottish talent with the opportunity to combine football with full time further education.

The former youth international at Under 17 and Under 19, made her senior Scotland debut this year, coming on and scoring in a closed door friendly against Norway.

Speaking of her move to City, Sarah said, “Firstly I'd like to thank Glasgow City for giving me this opportunity to play for them. They have achieved so much over the past few years within the Scottish League and Champions League and I hope I can help contribute to more success in the future. It's a new challenge for me as an individual and one that will require a lot of hard work and determination which I am committed to give to the club.

“I'd like to thank Hamilton for everything they have done for me over the years. They have made me the player that I am today. I also want to say a special thanks to Kevin Murphy as without him I would not have progressed as far as I have in my football career. Kevin is a great coach and also a great person. Hamilton are a fantastic club with lots of ambition and there is definitely a bright future for them if they continue on their current road. I look forward to starting pre-season training in January with City and I will enjoy training amongst some of Scotland's top players and coaches.”

Glasgow City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “It has taken a while but I'm glad to have finally got Sarah on board at the club. We tried to sign Sarah a number of years ago when we first started up a reserve side, she was an up and coming young prospect and although we were unsuccessful then and again a year ago, we never gave up. She will certainly bring a lot to the team. She has great pace, vision and awareness, she will work hard for the team and is very ambitious. I know the players at this club will be very pleased to have her as a team mate and myself and the coaching staff are very much looking forward to working with her. I am certain she will be a huge success at Glasgow City.”

Lisa Robertson signs for Glasgow City
The young defender moves from Hibernian, where she enjoyed a great season for the Hibees deployed as full back. A full youth international, Robertson becomes City’s second signing of the close season as the treble winners boost their squad for the domestic and Champions League campaign ahead. Similar to other recent signing, Sarah Crilly, Robertson has been in high demand amongst the top sides and City are delighted that both she and Sarah have put pen to paper to become a Glasgow City player.

Commenting on securing Lisa’s signature, Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “There is no doubt that Lisa will add to the quality of our squad. She has been established as a Premier League player for a few seasons now and has always impressed against us. Lisa is a very attack minded player, with good technique and with ability to get up and down the park. I believe having shared a dressing room with a number of her new team mates at international level, will see her settle quickly at the club. Her competitiveness will cement her popularity and being left sided is an added bonus for us. I wish her well and look forward to seeing her in pre-season.”

Lisa herself said, “I am so happy to be signing for such a successful club and can’t wait to be part of it. Leaving Hibs was hard after being there for 7 seasons and being a Hibee and I am grateful for everything they have done for me and developing me this far. However, I feel City is the next level and I cannot wait for the new season to start.”
